WHO WE ARE

Discover how Galena Wellness came to be, meet the members of our team, and learn about our partners.

Our Beginning

The story of Galena Wellness started with Manjiah Ockey . At the time the idea of a wellness clinic came about, she was a busy mother, wife, and nurse, living with ADD and ADHD, completing a business degree, starting a union, and had countless other projects and responsibilities on the go, large and small. You can imagine the stress and difficulties that came with all of that.

A friend of hers ran a clinic at the University of Calgary, and LENS played a large role in the practice, providing incredible results for students and staff dealing with the high stressors of school and life. Manjiah tried the therapy and found immediate differences in the way she was able to handle everything in her life. She experienced things like more patience with her children and the ability to focus longer and better despite having ADD and ADHD. She was even able to stop taking medication for ADD and ADHD and found that she was functioning even better without it after doing LENS Therapy.

Thinking big, Manjiah saw that LENS Therapy had the ability to provide much needed help and support for many other people in many, many different situations. She began shadowing at the University clinic and soon after completed the training needed to offer LENS Therapy as a nurse. And with that Galena Wellness was born.

It has since grown in offerings that complement LENS Therapy, including Red Light Therapy and HearthMath. Because of the effectiveness of our services and the incredible results clients are experiencing, our client base at Galena Wellness has grown in a huge way - meaning that we have been able to help many, many individuals improve the quality of their daily lives, no matter their current circumstance or struggles (mental or physical). We welcome you to join us and experience life-changing healing and improvement for yourself and your loved ones.

Our Team

Manjiah Ockey

Nurse, Founder of Galena Wellness

Manjiah founded Galena Wellness with a deep belief that healing happens when we look at the whole person, not just individual symptoms. She is known for helping people connect the dots between their nervous system, brain function, stress, trauma, physical health, and emotional wellbeing — especially when they have struggled to find answers through traditional approaches alone. As a Certified LENS Practitioner, HeartMath Trainer, Red Light Therapy Provider, and ADHD/Neuroscience Coach, she combines evidence-informed tools with a whole-person perspective that is deeply personalized. She takes the time to understand each person’s unique story and create a path toward healing that works with the body’s own capacity for change and regulation.

Her approach is compassionate, practical, and deeply hopeful, helping clients find relief, regain clarity, and reconnect with themselves in a way that feels sustainable and meaningful.

Anna Mehri

Registered Psychologist

Anna brings a deep belief that healing begins with feeling truly understood. As a registered psychologist and Certified Holistic Nutritional Consultant, she brings a truly integrative lens to mental health and wellness — one that honours the profound connection between mind, body, and nutrition. She works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and the quiet exhaustion of holding everything together. Anna's approach weaves together CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Processing Therapy, mindfulness, somatic and nervous system-informed practices, and holistic nutrition — meeting each person as a whole human being, not just a set of symptoms. She creates a warm, collaborative space where clients can finally say what feels hardest to say — and discover who they are underneath everything they've been carrying.
